- LLLilybeth LaFevreJul 23, 20241.0This post office does not follow the posted hours from online. I signed up for a PO Box here because online it says you can pickup until 5:30 pm. I spoke to the postal workers one Saturday to confirm the hours after I tried to pick up a package earlier that week and was unable to before 5:30 pm. I was told that they stop giving packages at 5 pm. When I asked them to then explain the online hours they appeared nervous and they stated that they could give out packages after 5 before 5:30 but that the person might have to wait if they are doing work in the back. I said that was fine and thanks for the explanation. I went to pick up my packages today at 5:14 pm and was denied service. I knocked on the door and asked for my packages and was told “no, I’m doing book keeping and I’m not allowed.” I said that’s fine I’ll wait. She replied “no by then it will be 5:30 pm and that’s when I leave.” This is unacceptable. It’s the only post office that has pickup times after 5pm. I work 9-5 the same hours that the post office is open. They told me to come on my lunch break or on Saturdays. This shouldn't be something I have to rush around for on a short 30 min break when the hours are clearly marked online. If I had known they weren’t going to follow their posted hours I would’ve chosen a different location. They are denying me access to my mail. I also paid more money for a larger PO Box that accepts the smallest size USPS flat rate box and I know that one of my packages was that same box and that has not been placed appropriately in my mailbox. I paid more money for a larger size box but this was a waste if they're not even going to put what the USPS says fits inside there. I should be entitled to a refund and charged for the smaller size since it's become a waste of money anyway. This is not okay.
