Not very helpful with submitting documents, have to be at work and not allowed at home, no phone calls to remind of deadlines for submission and no email either. Most emails all about webinars and encouragement to go back to school but appeal process difficult.

Gave me the run around several times after application and appeal denied , took a month for someone on their support team took the time to guide me and finally get approved, all that needed to be changed was one selection -cant believe this happened most people would have given up , persistence is key but it should not have taken this much time, emails, comments, and phone calls to get the answer to a direct questioon. They kept saying my program did not qualify and even the government website they used to prove this literally showed that it was qualified and they kept hitting me with no after no after no, even my HR department said "try checking before you apply for a program next time" like why couldnt they just take the time to help I will never know.

Led by Dr. Carla Mandell and Krista Burke from Oregon State University’s College of Business. I’ve also attached my Certificate of Completion.
The session was packed with practical tools for handling tough conversations and communicating with clarity and purpose. My top takeaways were:
Know Your Audience: The Empathy Map—thinking, feeling, seeing, and doing—helps frame messages through the listener’s perspective.
Prepared Communication Builds Connection: Being intentional and audience-aware leads to more positive impact.
Structure Matters: The “What? So What? Now What?” and Five Whys techniques help organize thoughts for clear, purposeful messages.
Active Listening Is More Than Hearing: Paraphrasing, non-verbal cues, and avoiding interruptions deepen understanding.
Speak with Courage, Listen with Care: Avoid opening with “why,” and instead focus on curiosity and respect.
They also shared a few great reads for continued growth:
Crucial Conversations (3rd ed.) – Grenny et al.
Everyday Business Storytelling – Kurnoff & Lazarus
Radical Candor – Kim Scott
It was definitely worth the time—full of actionable insights I can apply in my professional journey to strengthen communication and collaboration skills.
