  Staff at this particular location is the worst. There was one person at the counter helping someone with a passport application which usually takes time. I was surprised there was nobody else since there is usually a dedicated person for it but I waited for 15 minutes patiently until it was over and tried to proceed when she suddenly closed the counter and said next counter. So, I asked where is the person at the next counter and was told he has gone to the bathroom but it was already over 15 minutes. I waited another 10 minutes and finally decided to try the self-service kiosk even though I was next in line and as I suspected I had issues with it but coming back to line meant I have now lost my spot in line. Someone finally came over eventually which is now ½ hour since I first walked in so was he truly in bathroom for so long and doesn’t another employee supposed to cover a counter when there is no one else for so long. While waiting my turn, I witnessed the way he was serving with no sense of urgency after keeping us waiting for so long. Not all USPS locations are like this but these types of staff are what has ruined the once exemplary USPS. Since it’s not one person but mostly only at a few locations, my guess is that a ‘bad’ manger is probably the root cause of bad recruitments.

  Passport appointment running very late. They ask you to come early but they are nowhere to be found.Don't make your appointment here if you care about your time.

  Where’s the mail? Many days we get none, or it takes 4 or 5 days to receive something sent locally.

  USPS really should look at its service and management at this place at the Newton Center location. We arrived for our 2:30 PM passport appointment 10 minutes early. There was only one person at the counter, and she told us to wait until her colleague arrived. By 2:40 PM, no one had shown up. She became irritated and complained that her coworker had gone to lunch and that she was the only one there. She then became picky at me saying I should be standing in the line instead. Her attitude was rude—she stared at me and treated customers like trash. If I had a choice, I truly would not want to step into USPS again, especially not that location.

  Only one 1 staff member at prime time. Hour wait to mail a letter.Absolutely unacceptable!
