Every time I go to this post office I regret it. There is always the same woman there at the counter who is THE MOST unhelpful. She’s so lazy and rude. I showed up at 2:07PM with photos done and paperwork filled for a passport. The sign said “Passports 9AM to 2PM”. I get it: I showed up 7 minutes late. This is not why I’m irritated at this woman. The reason is because she looks at me and says “I’d do it, but I’m alone here right now, so I can’t.” Yes. She was alone there. It was me and her. There was another clerk there that kept saying “I have to get out of here and she’ll be alone”. Yes. She’ll be alone in the store. With me. Nobody else. So the always lazy, always rude woman tells me to go to another post office because “they are bigger”. I wish this was the only time I interacted poorly with this woman, but unfortunately no. It was not the first time. I swear. This woman would find a way to refuse selling stamps if she could. AVOID the Medfield USPS office if you expect to be treated with a smile, initiative, and have a pleasant visit because as long as that woman is there, YOU WILL NOT. Skip it and go straight to Norwood, which was perhaps the ONLY useful thing that woman has ever told me.

Counter clerks are nice. But they don't know how to put mail in a PO Box, at all. They constantly overfill them so the key doesn't work because the lock is jammed from the inside. Then once you finally wrestle it open, you'll be lucky if they didn't break your lock, like they did to ours. They also have terrible customer service scheduling. They have a line out the door, and one person at the counter. I had to drop off two prepaid packages and buy a roll of stamps, and then just as it was my turn, they called up someone behind me in line who didn't have their package ready, to go in front of me. Makes sense.

I recently went to the Medfield P.O. after having a rude and irritable postal worker be very dismissive to me about a year ago. I was pleasantly surprised to have a polite, efficient and pleasant woman help me out. Maybe things are moving towards better service!
