A simple, "we will be right with you" is all that is needed. I will add that once they do finish whatever they're doing, they come over, apologize for the wait and are pleasant. I've experienced this with about 4 different employees.

Accidents happen. I went to the Staples store and I was very pleased with the remedy. The customer service in the copy center. was absolutely superb.
