I just called to get help with my package stuck in transit, they put me on the line with a guy and he said “im gonna need a tracking number” I said okay and i asked if he was ready for it and he said “one second just let me get on my computer” and after a few seconds he just hung up. not great with help at all. also to mention the fact my package has been in transit since the 11th i think they need to work on that, is USPS walking my package or what? My package i paied over 400 dollars for and getting no help after i submitted requests for things then calling and getting nothing.

When did it become ok to not even try to do your job? I had a mailman leave a note for a letter the was supposed to be signed for in the mailbox. I was home all day and he didn’t even try to open the gate or knock on the door. I have him on camera putting the pre written note (never stopped to write anything) in the mailbox. He knew he wasn’t stopping before he was anywhere near my house.

It's a post office. The counter people are knowledgeable and thorough, not always prioritizing speed over making sure even the least prepared person gets the right product.
Some handy tips:
- Avoid the line for the counter if you can do the shipping from the automated kiosk
- Get eye contact with someone and indicate you're just dropping off and they'll usually grab the package next
-if you see anyone poking their head out of the half door, they can usually handle a package/letter pick up faster than the line
