- JRJ RichardDec 12, 20241.0On 12/5/2024 I mailed my daughter’s passport along with money for a last-minute travel opportunity via 2-day Priority mail - 10 days prior to her departure. Tracking indicated it left Concord then went to the processing location in Shrewsbury, MA. The package was due to arrive 12/7/2024 in Florida. By 12/10 it still had not arrived. No one in Concord answered the phone so I went in person. Spoke to someone at the counter who told me there were actually 3 packages lost the same day mine was mailed all 3 made it to Shrewsbury then disappeared. He got the Postmaster next. The Postmaster gave me a heartless response. Said things like this happen - it’s a busy time of the year, don’t worry about it - could have fallen on the floor, wasn’t noticed, etc. Said for me to wait until Friday, 13 December before taking an action. I couldn’t believe what I heard! My daughter leaves 12/14 and he wants me to wait another 3 days? He said he’d contact Shrewsbury and email me an update (as I requested). I never received a response. Called back the next day and was told he wasn’t there. Meanwhile my daughter’s passport and money are lost. No customer satisfaction (not even feigned) from the Concord, Massachusetts Postmaster who is supposed to lead by example. Not acceptable!
