This place is a horrific sick joke.
They never have enough staff,
The staff are rude, disrespectful and inept.
Every single time it’s over a 30 minute wait in line, even if there’s one person in line.
I walked up to buy stamps and the clerk just said no
I said what do you mean no
Imagine on a holiday week they had two sheets of stamps at the front counter????? So I said fine you can process them through the machine, and the clerk refused told me to go to the self service machine
Waste your precious time doing something else like eating glass instead of coming here!
It would be hysterical if it wasn’t pathetic.

Somehow this post office has no international stamps, and the only domestic stamp they were willing to sell me was the purple heart ones - despite advertisements all around the branch for Christmas stamps. I ended up having to print them at the self-serve kiosk.

Terrible Service and Zero Accountability
This Harvard Square Post Office is one of the worst I’ve ever dealt with. The customer service is absolutely terrible — the staff at the front desk are extremely slow, inefficient, and often rude. Every visit feels like an ordeal, and it seems like no one there takes responsibility for anything.
To make matters worse, there’s a man — an older white gentleman with a beard who looks like Santa Claus — who sits in the lobby all day doing absolutely nothing. Most of the time, he appears to be asleep right there in the open. It’s baffling that taxpayer money is going toward someone literally sleeping on the job.
I also had a package lost despite using Informed Delivery, and when I filed a complaint with the postmaster at the Central Square location, nothing was done. No one followed up, and my package was never found.
This location is a complete embarrassment to the USPS. The management needs to be overhauled, the staff retrained, and some accountability put in place. As a customer and taxpayer, I expect far better service than this.
