I went in to help my boss with some tasks, and one staff member suddenly accused me of having written a bad Google review about her. I was so confused and told her it wasn’t me and I had never left any reviews before. She continued and even made jokes about it. When another staff told her that she didn’t know how to view Google reviews, she responded with something like Oh maybe she can teach you. After I left I looked up the Google reviews myself and realized what she was talking about and clearly she was referring to a review written by someone else (Vanessa Wu). Clearly the accusation was based on assumptions rather than any actual evidence. The entire interaction felt unprofessional and inappropriate, and made me feel very uncomfortable

She made offensive, unfunny jokes even when it was clear the customers in the room were uncomfortable. When she misread my address, she tried to turn it into a handwriting lesson and implied that, as an international student, my handwriting was the problem – when in fact she didn’t seem to know the difference between a P.O. box code and a ZIP code. She asked me to rewrite a number 9 for her before I leave and then tried to ‘teach’ me how to write it properly, as if I didn’t know how to write an address. She was also dancing and singing while working, which felt extremely unprofessional. It’s hard to believe that just a few minutes in this place could create such a horrible experience. I noticed several other negative reviews about her. If I were the HR manager at USPS, she would definitely be on my list for a serious performance review.
