- MCMatthew CierpialOct 28, 20251.0Went here to ship an envelope as non-machinable because it had some rigid material in it. The non-machinable surcharge is about 25 cents. I was told that the envelope could not be shipped as a letter and would need to be shipped as a package, which costs 8-9 dollars. The letter easily fit through a 1/4 inch slot which is a requirement to send mail as a letter. I attempted to explain that the item could in fact be sent as a non-machinable letter, and I have shipped many letters like this before without issue. The lady behind the counter simply responded, "Do you want to ship this today?" In a rude tone. I responded, "No I think I will go somewhere else." She then said, "It's gonna be the same anywhere else you go." Lo and behold, I went to my regular post office and sent the envelope for 1.85 without any issues. I'd like to think she was just having a bad day, but someone needs to re-explain the requirements to her before she overcharges and confuses others.
- YLYoddha LeeAug 7, 20233.0Be aware of that if you want to mail any box in USPS, then you have to bring your own tape to seal the box, USPS does not provide any free tape, if you use the tape from USPS for any reason, then you have to pay it even the staff told you "this tape is someone left here ...", and by the way, the small tape does not worth 3.99 dollar to buy.

I was told to make an appointment online which I’ve tried 10 times before going in but it’s wasn’t working so I asked the employee to see if they could do it for me since the website isn’t working, and I was told no, and that they couldn’t do anything about it. So I called the post office in Burlington and they did it without hesitation. If your lazy just say that! If your not willing to go out of your way for a customer, find a new job. Lazy staff. This was at 11:30 on Saturday 26 of june at the Bedford post office. Will definitely be reporting staff to corporate.
