  The reason: (PAEA 2006) pre funding and private corporations intentions, money, and lobbying to destroy the post office as competition is working. The post office is the only entity that is required to pre fund retirement as soon as a employee is hired making it impossible to hire a employee without millions prepared for their retirement. The post office CANT work in its current form and that's by design. This was later repealed in 2022 after the the damage was done. They were required to front fund 5.6 billion each year, essentially removing them from the market after amazon no longer needed them. The problem: I have no idea what's going on or if its even this facilities fault, but I hand them a package and it just disappears. I have a lost package rate of 40% with USPS where the package gets USPS IN POSSESSION OF ITEM and its never seen again or scanned again. USPS has lost over 1000$ in merchandise and the claim process is purposefully designed poorly with absolutely 0 help. My claims, even with evidence have been denied but then approved after resubmitting the exact same evidence. USPS is a good way to turn your 1000$ in small business sales into 400$ in insurance claims and a lot of pissed off customers. 40% loss rate. I never seen anything like this in my life and I'm incredibly upset to see USPS disappearing so UPS and fedex dont have to compete after the USPS spent my entire life subsidizing amazon deliveries. the employees that remain are obviously overworked and tired but are as helpful as they can be. you ever get bored go read some of the employees stories. Hostile work environment from the top down.

  Counter employees are always nice and helpful at this location. Good selection of cards and supplies as well.

  Just drove up to this location to receive keys for my new homes mailbox and I’m getting two sides to the story. One person said they have the keys and have already come out to install locks and one person said they don’t have keys yet and my street doesn’t exist. We just moved in and would like to switch our address and can’t because they don’t have our information. I’m tired of dealing with this post office.

  Amazing service!! At Christmas time, I was negligent in ordering my packages on time and the postal workers at the Union office arranged to run my package outside to me even though I had arrived after closing on a SATURDAY!! Postal work is a thankless job and the only time the community they serve chimes in is when they have something negative to say. Give your postal workers a break.
