Great hard-working employees here in MARION, that carry very heavy loads. However, Louis DeJoy has destroyed the USPS Nationwide! The establishment of the USPS is in our US Constitution, however this appointee from 2018 has complicated the processing of all mail to the point where small businesses are being terribly affected. Gone are the days of mail arriving in general terms of 1-2 business days. All local mail is sorted and stamped & rerouted to Evansville, IN, , Louisville, KY., or Nashville, TN. Please tell me in Laymans terms how this is more efficient?? One batch of my small business mail did not reach its destination until over 30 days later. Vendors and creditors expect on time payments, and residents and businesses should be able to have peace of mind about when their mail is picked up regularly on a daily basis by faithful mail men and women just trying to meet the strict deadlines imposed by DeJoy in our town. Our local carriers do a great job. They are hard-working USPS employees. But these new protocols they must follow do not make much sense. It is beyond their control of when where and how those parcels are then to be redistributed, postmarked and turned back around to the same destination they started from. That seems counterproductive to me, it negates common sense.
Big governments goal is to privatize the USPS. Trump wants to have the Oligarchs take over to extract higher prices from the public at large. It is anathema to describe it in any other terms.
A quorum needs to be established by the board specifically to dismiss Mr. DeJoy and remove him from power over the USPS. This is the best solution.
Louis DeJoy has destroyed all rural and sorting machines which would cost taxpayers in the millions to replace.
This destruction was by design, and exemplifies the destructive intent and in my opinion was not a smart business practice.
Change can only come, if we stand up together and speak out against these corrupt political appointees who’s only goal is privatization, therefore increasing what we as citizens will have to pay for the services that have always been rendered for free. Never forget the US postal system is enshrined in our United States Constitution . We should all stand up for our constitutional laws all over this land!
