Majority of the employees are extremely rude and unhelpful. My package has been missing for over a month and every time I have come in to check on it I have gotten a different answer from whoever’s working. I constantly have issues with packages being marked as delivered without showing up to my door. USPS is the worst by far!!

They have the ringer turned off to their phone. You cant even call and ask a simple question. If you need anything you have to drive down there. Pretty bad.
I watched the mail lady drive off after not delivering my package and instead marking it as action required: nobody home. It was a package that should have gone in the mailbox and needed no signature. These people just don't care.

I have been using the Madisonville post office services for well over 2 years. In that time, I have been very impressed with Melissa, one of the desk clerks. She is always courteous & does everything she can to help out. I get A LOT of packages to my PO Box, and when needed, she will go out of her way to get me a rolling basket or dolly for me to take my packages outside. There is an older gentleman with a mustache who also works in the back, who has also been very helpful & friendly when I have had packing concerns. I’ve notice the majority of the negative reviews have been related to delivery, which is out of their control. I understand the reviews about *one* worker not being warm/friendly/no urgency. But, if I ever have a concern, I just go to Melissa..lol. As long as she is working there, I will keep my PO Box! (Disclaimer: I have no connection to USPS, or it’s staff. I work at the local hospital.)
** The only negative about the office itself, is that it does not have a self-service kiosk to purchase stamps/packaging...etc.
