The Fort Thomas post office is only permitted limited operational revenue on site. In light of this there may be times it would be prudent to visit a larger Post Office if you have money orders to cash. If you choose to visit a smaller office such as Fort Thomas please do so later in the afternoon. It is possible that enough revenue may have accumulated by then to cash your money orders. These revenue limitations are set by management, not by the clerk who works in Fort Thomas. Everyone makes mistakes. If you ever receive the wrong monetary change from a postal clerk, notify the clerk at the time of sale. All clerks Will politely work with you to make sure you get the proper change. No Postal clerk will intentionally short you on your change. It is against the policy of honesty that Postal clerks adhere to and is a fireable offense. All street Addressed Mail for Fort Thomas originates in Newport. Mail carriers are responsible for leaving first and second notices on all packages and certified letters, upon receiving the first notice on Packages or certified, you should be able to pick up the mail item at the Fort Thomas post office the next business day. If you aren’t receiving your notices on Packages and certified, please contact either the Fort Thomas post office or Newport post office to report the problem. Last, but not least. I serve in Fort Thomas community I also was born and raised in the Fort Thomas community. Therefore, I see this as my hometown. I do my best to treat everyone with dignity and respect and try to help everyone above and beyond what is required to make sure their experience with the Post Office is a good one. I may not always be able to accommodate every need either because it can’t be done or it is outside my ability or control to accommodate what is needed. However, I will never be rude ill mannered, angry, or treat anyone in a manner that intentionally offends my customers. I respect and appreciate all my customers and I am very blessed to be able to work with the finest people I’ve ever met.

I have had nothing but positive experiences at this post office. Knowledgeable staff, cheerful, no excessive waiting and even help in saving money on shipping! My only wish is that they install a kiosk for packages and stamps.😊 Ellie should receive a commendation from the post office -- i've never seen anyone so knowledgeable , helpful and good natured working in any post office anywhere! If you go there, take that receipt and please do the survey for her!

Awful. I don't care how "courteous" the employees are in person if they don't actually do their jobs. I had a package sitting there for over a month before I got ANY notification from the post office that it was even there. I had shipped it from overseas so had contacted the store in Ireland where I bought it, looked on the USPS website to track it, etc. No record that it was in Ft Thomas and then the post office didn't even bother letting me know it was there. The store in Ireland was actually sending another one over when I got a "Final notice" on my door. The PO employee when we went in said it had been there over a month and basically blamed US for not picking it up sooner. What the...??? We didn't even know it was there!! Now I have another package that is saying it was delivered on the site but I assume it's ALSO stuck at the Ft Thomas post office. I work when the PO is open so having the option to call them would be very appreciated. But like others said, NO ONE ANSWERS the phone ever. And calling the broader 1800 number isn't useful if Ft Thomas is the one dropping the ball AGAIN. Someone, PLEASE learn to handle people's mail as if it is important....

I really cannot understand these reviews! I am a Ft. Thomas resident and am at the Post Office several times a week for my business. They are ALWAYS courteous and helpful. As far as I know, no Post Office answers the phone anymore, everything goes to a call center now. For heaven's sake, everywhere in Ft. Thomas is 5 minutes from the PO. Just get up and go there if you need something!
