I went for my child's passport, and they gave me the form to fill out by her biological father outside the country. The form didn’t say that it was to be notarized by the US embassy in that country. It was notarized by a local lawyer. I asked the USPS staff if my documents were correct and he said yes. The USPS staff accepted that form, but the passport department sent it back because it wasn’t notarized by the US embassy in that country. There were no instructions on the form. I paid $120 for that passport, but they won’t refund it.

USPS has failed to delivery time sensitive packages and has singled handedly, over the years, ended the online side of my business with a failure to deliver rate exceeding 50% through no fault of my own. They always receive payment for services and only provide the service half the time. They have lost irreplaceable items and history no one will ever see again. You're better of walking the package anywhere.

I would like to take a moment to appreciate the professionalism and outstanding customer service provided by Ruben. We visited for passport services for our infant, and he made the entire process seamless. He explained everything clearly, handled the paperwork efficiently, and we were in and out within 15 minutes, including a brief wait in line. Ruben is one of the finest USPS employees I’ve encountered, and his dedication and demeanor truly reflect excellence in customer service. He has a promising career ahead. Note: You need an appointment for passport, they took the original birth certificate and will be mailed later. $100 cash or cheque and $37 can be paid by credit/debit.

We moved in July. Property tax bills for both the city of Florence and Boone County were sent out in September. As of today (11/13/2025), they have not been forwarded to our new location. Fortunately my husband remembered to look into it, because who knows if they'll arrive by the December 31 deadline? As it is, we lost the opportunity for the early payment credit that we would have received had we paid the bill prior to 11/1, which we would have done had it arrived. It's bad enough that cards, coupons and other mail consistently arrive late, but bills? The efficiency of the USPS took a nosedive during the pandemic and has yet to recover. Unless they start exhibiting some basic competency, I for one think the USPS should start being responsible for late fees and lost credit.
