While waiting, I overheard the employee loudly complaining about having to watch his grandkids the other day, calling them names and saying how they cried twice during his nine-hour shift. When it was finally my turn, instead of focusing on the return, he started talking about how he’s been punched in the face before and told me I was “lucky” I hadn’t been. I was just trying to complete a return—not engage in personal conversations like that. To make matters worse, there was water dripping from the fire sprinkler above the entrance to aisles 32 and 33, which felt unsafe and poorly maintained. Overall, the experience was unprofessional and uncomfortable. Next time, I’ll go to an actual UPS Store instead.
