- SSStacyOct 8, 20223.0I owned a business in Clarkson that included shipping purchases around the US and due to my shipping time guarantee I had to deliver the packages to the PO myself as opposed to scheduling pickup. They were too large to place in the outside drop. I usually went on random days 2 to 3 times a week and on numerous occasions the doors were locked even though it was normal operating hours and was not during the regular scheduled lunch closure. There was nothing posted on the doors as to why it was closed but it was. I had to then drive to another post office in a neighboring town in order to drop off my packages and get a receipt. This was an additional 15 miles or so of driving. I also had packages delivered to my business and they left them outside in the parking lot if it was one of 2 days we were closed. It may not be protocol but previous experience at another location with the PO when packages were delivered on days it couldn't be brought inside they left a delivery notice and told me they'd have the PKG at the PO where I could pick it up. That may not have been a good idea for me with the Clarkson location, though, because they may not have been open for me to pick it up. The people who worked there are nice and the 2 mail carriers were very friendly but the unexpected closures during business hours on a regular occasion and thefts related to having packages left outside at a business made it difficult to use them and cost extra money to have delivery made via FedEx or UPS and necessitating I drive to another place to mail packages. I just cannot recommend this location.
