I recently moved into the town of Valley Falls. I've seen the mail person a few times on foot delivering mail. It's a small town so I expect as much. However, this week I put some outgoing mail in my mailbox and put the flag up. 3 days later my flag is still up and my outgoing mail still there. 😠 😡 How can I trust the mail service when they can't do a simple task such as check boxes. Because I didn't receive mail those days the mail person didn't even check the box. I get that I won't have outgoing mail often but the few times I do are important and need mailed. I will be putting outgoing mail in the box at the PO from now on but I feel like I shouldn't have to. The flag is there for a reason.....ijs

I love the updates to the zoo, they are amazing. The staff was all absolutely wonderful, but I’d say there were only animals in about 25% of the enclosures. The food stand was closed, no huts to buy snacks or drinks. The bird cage that you can walk through was locked. There’s a place to get coins to feed lorikeets and giraffes, then you find out that you can’t feed them. They seem like they are putting a lot of money into the zoo but the basics are lacking. I hoped to leave a message with the zoo personally rather then online but there isn’t even an option for that.
