My husband and I run a small business and had a ton of packages to drop off with about 40-50 of them being international orders - shipping USPS and then handing off to DHL. I abided by the ten item per transaction limit that we’ve been told at other locations so I came in twice with two sets of ten packages by myself, and then my husband came in once with ten, he is a person of color, followed by me with the last few stragglers. He was in line in front of me being “helped” by a clerk who was a white woman. She glared at him and snapped that she would have to have the postal inspector general look at the packages because the labels looked counterfeit. Not a single word was said to me, a white woman, about this concern when I had them scan the 20 previous packages - only to my husband. When I was called up next in line I showed her how Shopify made the label for us, it was what the international customers picked and I had no control over how the international orders selected postage. Absolutely disgusting and abhorrent behavior. It’s hard to not see this as intentionally racist.

If you ever have an issue with your mail or shipping, as I have a few times , the women in this post office know how to get things done. And fast! Are they the friendliest?Not always, but I guess that depends on how courteous you are as well. I have never had an issue with that.
