Change banking hours and days that the office is open. Everyone works on Columbus Day and so should the office, if school is running so should they. It is absolutely ridiculous to me that the hours are the exact times that normal people go to work, how is anyone supposed to get what they need. People shouldn’t have to wait till Saturday for the measly 9-12 that they’re open.

If Dante had lived in modern America, I have little doubt he’d have included the Derby USPS office as the Eighth Circle-and-a-Half of Hell — a purgatorial abyss wherein time, hope, and rational customer service vanish into a bureaucratic oubliette. From the moment one enters this Kafkaesque outpost of governmental lethargy, the atmosphere is thick with a suffocating blend of ennui and indifference. The employees—though biologically present—appear to be in a state of catatonic disengagement, as though customer interaction were a Herculean labor rather than a basic job requirement. To describe the service as "unreliable" is to insult the word. Packages vanish into the ether with the regularity of a magician’s coin trick, only without the charm, showmanship, or eventual reappearance. Inquiries are met with blank stares, vague shrugs, and a symphony of bureaucratic deflection. You’re more likely to receive a meaningful response from a Magic 8-Ball. Telephone calls, when not outright ignored, are answered with the tone of someone being forced at gunpoint to acknowledge your existence. On the rare occasion a live human picks up, they exude all the warmth and helpfulness of a damp dishrag. Expect no follow-up, no accountability, and certainly no resolution. In summary, the Derby USPS office is a monument to dysfunction—a crumbling bastion of procedural apathy, where customer service goes to die, alone and unanswered. If reliability, timeliness, or even the mildest form of human courtesy matters to you, I advise you to steer clear of this tragicomic farce of an institution.

Open banking hours, and don't have a kiosk/drop box for packages. How is the working class supposed to ship items if they need to!? Super frustrating. On the bright side, the employees here are super nice. Probably some of the best gov employees I’ve ever had to deal with. Super helpful.
