  I used Staples for my wedding invitations three years ago. I had a very good experience so naturally when I needed my daughter’s first birthday invitations done I ordered them online with Staples. In my email I was given an estimated pick up time. Since it’s about a 30 minute drive to the store I called ahead of time to just make sure my order would be ready. The gentleman I talked to stated that the person who ran that areas last day was 12/31/25 and until the position was filled they wouldn’t do any printing. Now, I do understand being understaffed. This next part is my problem and why my review is low. I stayed to the gentleman that if they don’t have anyone to do printing orders it’s weird that I didn’t receive a call. His response was if I ordered online then no, I wouldn’t receive a call. Just very unfortunate on how it all played out. I’ve been in customer service for a long time and if you can’t complete a service you call the customer and offer an apology when you have to cancel services. I hope that no other people are just waiting in limbo for an order.

  I’ve usually had pleasant experiences while returning Amazon things at staples, but today, a gentleman with long curly hair was rude to me because the box that my item was being returned in was too large. He asked to see the QR code and just stared at it only to say “they’ve got to stop sending us this stuff. It’s not going to fit in the box.” He told me it would be a gamble as to whether or not my return would get the Amazon returns facility, which as a consumer, is very bothersome when it comes to making sure I will get the credit for my return. He also said something would rip, and since I didn’t exactly understand what he was referring to, when I asked what he meant he said “well this label isn’t exactly sticky” in a condescending tone. I have no control over where amazon sends me to do a return, and if it was truly up to me, I would much prefer UPS as their customer service is exceptional comparatively. Another female that I’ve encountered hasn’t been very kind either - usually very short. I worked in customer service for several years, and poor customer experiences really rub me the wrong way. I should not be made to feel uncomfortable in a situation I have no control over. I then heard him making remarks about it as I was walking away to leave. Unprofessional to say the very least.
