  I share this review out of a serious and very deep concern, I'm not denying the fact mail was stolen out of the blue mailboxes outside this post office, but I'm also very aware, there are cameras on those boxes, and nobody can stick their hands down in them, like some of the other reviews I read, I don't have any doubts that the theft is happening from their employees, because when 5 of my card's, were also opened from the end of the envelope, I too take my mail to the inside front desk, I haven't trusted these outdoor blue boxes since, 2018, yes when you go inside they are very friendly, but I went into the managers office and gave her the opened envelopes, and the stamp hadn't even been marked across like it should've been, at that time, she told me New Albany Indiana mail goes through the Louisville post office, and their employees had been caught bleaching check's, she never followed up on it, and it's clear to me now, she knew this was happening in the New Albany Indiana post office, I don't like dishonesty or deception, I feel relieved I don't ever have to use this post office again, and I now purchase my stamps from stores that sell them, so going to another post office, like Clarksville, Jeffersonville, really is of no help, because it'll still end up going through the post office in New Albany Indiana, and through the one in Louisville, I honestly believe, with the thousands of people this has affected, this post office should be temporarily closed down, every employee should be questioned and video surveillance should be looked at & new employees hired, because as of today, this is still going on and nothing has been resolved

  Four of my bill's were mailed inside at the front desk, because I needed stamps, and for the past three months my checks keep coming up missing, I agree with the latest review, the theft is happening inside of the post office by their own employees, because like the other review I read , I never put mail in a blue box.

  I began to realize that mail theft was going on inside this post office in December, 2025, I went to the front desk and mailed a Christmas card to my dad, when he received it 11 days later the end of the envelope had been carefully opened and when this employee realized that no money was in it, it was put back into circulation. In January & March of 2026, my dad took his bill's inside to the front desk and mailed them, those were stolen as well, he had to put a stop payment on the check for March and freeze the entire checking account, so to anyone reading this, this theft is being committed by their own employees, because we've never put any mail in a outdoor blue mailbox! Now we have to figure out how to safely mail his 2 check's in April, but until these employees are caught, we will never use this post office again, I hope this helps people going through the same thing we did 🙏

  how can you set an appointment to renew a passport if they don't answer the phone???
