I attempted to return several items today, and the process was unnecessarily frustrating due to a lack of urgency, efficiency, and basic customer service. During my visit, the return barcodes were mixed up. I calmly pointed this out to the associate assisting me so the issue could be corrected. Instead of addressing the mistake professionally, the associate responded with visible frustration, huffing and puffing, and an overall rude demeanor. This made a simple return process uncomfortable and unprofessional. After completing the return attempt, I intended to purchase a gift card. I stepped aside, and another associate directed me to the front register. However, the same associate who had been visibly frustrated during the return process was handling checkout. Due to the prior interaction, I chose not to proceed with the purchase. As a result, the store lost a sale directly due to poor customer service. Based on this experience, I don’t believe this location is well-suited to handle Amazon returns. I will be requesting that Amazon consider limiting returns here and instead direct customers to alternative locations such as Staples, where the process is typically more efficient and customer-focused. I personally will not be returning to this location.
