I don’t have any issues with package theft at my home, I trust my neighbors and no one bothers me, but conveniently when I have my packages delivered through the USPS, stuff comes up missing and boxes show up empty and cut open.

I would give zero stars if possible. 3 times they have REFUSED to hold our mail while out of town including prescription meds even though we gave ample notice with confirmation numbers for holding mail. Another occasion we were notified of personalized checks arriving but they never showed up. Supervisor said they were received in the post office but didn’t show them leaving. DHL said they were delivered at 6:30 p.m. No they weren’t as our security camera never recorded a delivery that day & we were home. Okay so who’s lying? And recently I was notified of a delivery that day via tracking and it never arrived. 2 days later I was notified by the company I ordered from that it was returned!!!! What????
Have filed 2 complaints with the district/regional offices, talked to the local postmaster & supervisor in person and they assume no responsibility for anything. The situation became so bad that we opened a P O Box in another town where we receive excellent service.

I keep having packages returned to the post office when I'm not home to accept them. The apartment complex I live in accepts packages on behalf of tenants if they are not home. Each time I go to pick up my package, I ask why they aren't being left with the office and I am told they won't accept them. I have verified with my complex office that the DO accept mail for tenants and have relayed this to the "manager" at the post office but she refuses to allow her carriers to leave them. She once even tried to withhold my husband's package because she didn't think he lived at our apartment! The rest of the staff have always been ok, not overly friendly or courteous, but not rude.
