I went in a few days ago because a buyer had told me he hadn't received a package that I'd sent out on 9/4. The tracking showed that it got to his city Washington, DC, sat there for a couple days, then went back to Indianapolis. The day I went in, 9/15, the last update was that the package returned to Pennsylvania again, which was where it was at before it arrived in DC. The postmaster researched the package and saw nothing that should be holding it up, so gave me her number and said to call if anything is still going on in a few days. Later that night, it arrived in DC again. As of today, 9/19, the last update was yesterday and it shows that it still hasn't moved since it arrived again in DC. Called the post office, it took several attempts to get through, and have now been on hold for exactly 1 hour, 11 minutes, and 45 seconds

Great staff. Sometimes they are short staffed, but the folks working there are great.

If I could give 0 stars, I would. I recently moved into a new construction home. For months, my mail was being delivered directly to my door while the post office waited for mailbox keys. Then, about a month ago, delivery suddenly stopped without any notice. After some back and forth, I was finally told by supervisor Tiffany Jackson on June 11 that my mail was being held at the post office. I had surgery scheduled for June 12, so I was unable to pick it up immediately. On June 13, I went to the post office and was met by an extremely rude employee named Rhonda. I explained that I was told my mail was being held and that I had critical items—documents marked as delivered a week ago, a prescription, and information related to my 6-month-old’s upcoming heart surgery. Rhonda checked, returned with a hostile attitude, and said, “It isn’t here.” When I explained the urgency again, she coldly replied, “That’s too bad,” then walked away as I began to cry at the counter. Since then, I’ve attempted to contact Tiffany Jackson multiple times by phone with no response. This has been the worst customer service experience I’ve ever had, especially during an incredibly stressful and sensitive time. USPS should be held accountable for the way people are treated—especially when the stakes are this high.

Any time I go into this office, the employees are sure to let you know you're inconveniencing them. FedEx and UPS may be worth the extra price for quality customer service.
