Although they are friendly, each year they have done my taxes I have gotten letters from the IRS indicating there have been descrepencies which has led to me writing more checks. One year, I had a small portion of my student loan forgiven and according to AU, I didn't need to pay taxes on that forgiven amount. Sure enough, I got a letter from the IRS stating otherwise. After going back and forth with the IRS and AU, we came to the conclusion that I did indeed owe money. Fine. And just a few days ago (its November 2016), I received a letter from Indiana IRS that I owe more from my 2013 taxes. It feels like a gift from the devil that keeps on giving. I took my 2015 taxes to another accountant to which he found missing money (just by glancing at AU's prepared packet including the same forms I've handed over to AU) from 2014 that I was owed that AU didn't even notice. It is frustrating to me that each year I pay a few hundred dollars for their service, and there are mistakes every single year. I will never recommend this place to anyone.
