Have used this location multiple times and have NEVER had such a negative experience. Furthermore, I NEVER leave a bad review based on only 1 experience but I had to make an exception today as I’m very concerned for customers moving forward.
Never mind the fact that when I first arrived, 2 other customers walked out due to their experience, and then I ended up having to leave as well because I was told I had to purchase a $3 roll of packaging tape if I wanted my box to be sealed. Purchasing their box for packaging wasn’t enough…you must also purchase their tape even though a whole roll of it sits right behind their counter. So after going home to use my own tape to save $ and return to send off package, they verify my account using my drivers license (as they always do), and they have NO RECORD of any packages that I have ever sent. I’m there 3-4 x’s/year sending packages to the same address every time, and they have no record of it at all. For years & years, they will pull up my account and ask “who are you sending this package to today”, at which time I provide the name and they immediately print out the label after verifying the address. NOT TODAY
Once provided the name & address, she’s typing it in. Starting with the street address, she then asks & types in the City, when she then asks for the State to type in, clearly there is something wrong with either their network or their employee. Even my personal computer, can auto populate States & Zipcodes the moment a City is entered. So now that I express concern (because there is obviously something wrong) I’m told to “relax.” Unacceptable. I’m going to entrust my package to your company when your computer/network OR employee aren’t capable of locating the destination when the necessary information has been provided?
Icing on the cake, a greeting card and a 4x4 tiny box was going to cost $32 for standard shipping to arrive in 1 week. Again, there is either a Network glitch in your system today, OR you have employees that have not been properly trained to effectively do their job.
Either way, a lot of business will be taken elsewhere until management can get ahead of this.
Happy to report that I saved more than $20 taking it down the street to ship 👍
FOLLOW UP: First, your response is appreciated but it does not justify/excuse the overall poor service encountered today. As mentioned, I was not the only customer that had to walk out today.
Second, I’m not holding you or UPS responsible for the customer who stood outside your store waiting to provoke an altercation by assaulting me. You nor your business can control the absurd actions of others. I do appreciate the laugh I got out of the “spin”you’ve attempted to put on today’s encounter by stating that a customer needed to defend your young employee. If any of your employees(regardless of age), aren’t capable of respectfully responding to an obvious question then they need to seek employment outside of the public. The whole mission of UPS is destination driven, so why would a customer asking a simple question like “why isn’t your system auto populating Sates & Zipcodes” warrant an absolutely rude & disrespectful response? That is an obvious question that any customer who is relying on your company to send out a package to the proper destination would ask? Third, you did not address the ridiculous price gouge that was generated by either your computer or employee. A greeting card and 4x4 box costs over $30 for standard shipping? Over $30 to arrive in a week vs $10 to ship same package that will arrive in 3 days…please explain this ridiculous difference in price? Why would anyone use UPS if they could send out their packages somewhere else that saves them that much money? Thankfully, I followed instinct and went elsewhere to ship but again, no explanation for this was provided in your response.
Thanks again for your response, but I see that I will need to take a Corporate approach to this in order for resolve.

I wasn't sure how to ship a fragile family heirloom to my aunt, and I was super nervous about having it shipped all the way to Arizona. I spoke with Dave, the owner, and he was so reassuring. His professionalism, expertise, and kindness put me at ease. And everything arrived intact and on time—and packed perfectly! Thanks Dave and The UPS Store!

I wish I could give Josie and her part 5 stars and the rest of the experience a negative 1000! I came in for fingerprints for work. Which has been incredibly frustrating for me on its own. My first interaction was with Beau. They were rude and incredibly dismissive. I don’t need to go into details, but they made my day so much harder. Once I was able to secure the IDs needed I got in line and Josie called me up. While she was waiting for me to get my things ready she turned her back to multi task. Which is great! It was busy! Beau had stepped out to help another customer so another employee came up to help out. I’m guessing the manager? He berated Josie in front of me for having her back turned and not helping. He was clearly annoyed and frustrated that he had to help and took it out on her. Listen. It is a hard time of year for customer service. It’s actually not all that easy for anyone.
Beau: I’m assuming you expect people to respect you and how you feel. Try that in return. You don’t know what I or anyone else was going through today.
Manager: NEVER treat your employees that way and certainly DO NOT do it in front of customers.
Josie: Thank you for your kindness and patience. I hope you have the best 2026 ever!
