The service at this location is unacceptable. Take extra time and money and go somewhere else

Used to be great. For the past few months it takes at least 24 hours to scan packages dropped off. Not sure if they are under staffed or what, but I won't be dropping off packages here anymore. The McHenry and Crystal Lake ones are much faster.

USPS stole from me and this location is big part of the blame. USPS in Memphis lost a package over $100. I came in to this location three times and they said they couldn’t do anything about it because it was labeled as “moving through the network”. I was told each time to wait until it was labeled as “lost.” They would not help change the label despite the package having no updates in months. Now my tracking label has been deleted by USPS and costumer service have “no record of it” due to deleting the number despite my receipts. Now they say nothing can be done and I can’t even get back the money I spent to send the item.

I have been having issues making passport appts on my phone. I made an appt with Woodstock USPS and took a screenshot that showed the location, time, and my name. The USPS worker in the front had glasses and shorter hair. She saw the screen shot and told me that I didn’t “finalize” the appt by clicking the next button. I told her I had been having issues and this was my second attempt at making an appt. I drove 40 min out of my way for the appt. The USPS worker explained to me that they hadn’t had lunch yet and they were unable to make accommodations for me even though she has explained her previous passport appt ended 20 min early. It bothers me because there are a lot of jobs I’ve had where we stay open late, continue to see clients after hours, work thru lunches, stress about making good impressions when state or federal agencies never care about customer service or actually serving the community. I cannot believe I’ve lost sleep over not making favorable impressions with clients when customer facing positions as federal/state funded agencies never ever care about their service positions. That is always why all institutions like USPS always have terrible reviews. I know this review will not be cared about… but it’s just a shame that the least cared about positions/agencies in regards to customer service are so invaluable to our communities. Just sucks.
