This place is an absolute joke.
Its 3pm on a Thursday afternoon..hours say open til 630. There's 3 employees standing at the front desk. They shut the doors and say "there's no one to work the front desk." They havent locked the doors to the counter, so a steady stream of people keep coming in to mail packages and keep getting sent away. THREE PEOPLE there, no one will work the front desk. The manager (I assume its who it is, as she's the only one not in a uniform and seems to be calling the shots, brown hair with glasses) just keeps standing there fighting with people saying there's no one to work the register. Instead of locking the desk area doors they just keep shouting at them to use the kiosk in the PO box lobby. I do not understand why the people just standing there doing nothing but arguing with (rightfully) frustrated customers cant just HELP people? Its 3pm. Its a week day. Mail is a NECESSITY. the line for the kiosk (only one) is out the door, with old people desperately trying to figure it out without help. Do better, Woodridge. Absolutely shameful for a govt facility to operate so terribly.
Do yourself a favor and go to Downers Grove. That post office hasnt disappointed me yet. Worth the extra drive.

I had a very frustrating experience trying to schedule passport appointments for my 3-month-old baby and my 5-year-old son at this location.
I chose this office because it’s close to our home, offers convenient afternoon appointments (which is important since my older son is in school), and provides passport photo services on site.
The first appointment I scheduled was canceled by email with no explanation. I scheduled a second appointment, and this time I received a call saying it had to be canceled because the camera wasn’t working. I asked if we could bring our own photos, and I was told that would be fine and to go ahead and schedule again.
After booking a third appointment, I received yet another call canceling it. When I expressed that canceling three times was unacceptable, the staff member was very rude and told me I could come earlier. I explained that we both work and my son is in school, so that wasn’t possible. She responded that if we came at the scheduled time, there would be no agent available. When I asked to speak to a manager, I was put on hold and no one answered. I have tried calling multiple times since and have not received a response.
This has been extremely inconvenient and disappointing. I understand that issues can happen, but canceling three times and handling the situation unprofessionally is unacceptable. I hope management addresses this.

Dont even bother.. go somewhere else. No one is ever here and no one will help you. Even if you call and have an appointment for a drop off. They will call you the day of and say you cant come in anymore as they dont have people there at that time… okay so i guess working 9-5 is actually 8-2pm. This system and our country are a clown show.

Service has been deteriorating for a while, but has recently been atrocious. I hadn't received mail in nearly a week, even though the Informed Delivery app told me I should have received 28 pieces in that time. I went to the post office to see about this, and the clerk was able to retrieve only three. I was told the rest would be delivered today, but, as of evening, it hasn't been. The clerk also did not seem to understand well how the Informed Delivery app worked. If you need to send something to somebody in the area served by this office, find some way besides USPS to send it.
ETA: credit where due--a carrier today (Sunday) brought most (though not all) of my mail from this past week. I appreciate that. But until this office gets more workers or better management or something else, I have to stick with what I said above: if you need to send something to somebody in the area served by this office, and especially if it's time-sensitive, find some way besides USPS to do so.
