- VVVicJun 8, 20241.0Honestly, I have never had any other problems with any USPS locations except this one. I have lived in this town for several years, and even in the depths of Rockford, I had better service. I am proud of the USPS and their carriers, even moreso because my grandfather was one for almost all of his adult life. But every single person I have talked to at this location is rude, and I will give you the energy I receive right back to you. I had to call this morning to ask if there was a way to pick up a package of medication I was receiving in the mail today. It was required I sign for it and with a doctor's appointment coming up, I needed to see if I could get it earlier. I was told there was no way to reach the mail carrier and I would have to bring the slip in to pick it up if we miss him. Well, with the office closing at noon, and my appointment in Crystal Lake at 11:30, it was incredibly unlikely that I will be able to make it beforehand if it isn't intercepted now so I can pick it up. This medication is incredibly important that I pick it up today, as by Monday, being without it will significantly make my situation worse. When I asked about calling the mail carrier, I was told she could not call as it would be using a phone while driving. Okay, makes sense! What about sending him a message through his system? "Well, I could send him a message through his scanner. But that relies entirely on whether or not he'll see it." Okay! Great! That's a way you can reach out to him, please do so. "Okay, have a good day. *ends phonecall*" You don't even have my number to call me back if it gets dropped off for me to pick it up. I'm sorry that I am asking you to do your job, but it is your job, and I don't appreciate you giving me attitude for asking you to do your job.
