I moved to Sheldon,IL. I changed my address online in May 2024. I received a email from United States Post Office (usps) on steps on how to do this. It clearly states in the email "Bring an acceptable form of photo identification with you to post office. Your ID must match the OLD ADDRESS AND NAME YOU PROVIDED IN YOUR CHANGE OF ADDRESS. You are verifying your identity not your address. They listed several post offices near my old address to do this. I did this at post office in Worth, IL May 2024. I received a email from United States Of Post Office a few days later stating that my change of address was confirmed on May 24th 2024. I put up a mailbox and have been receiving letters, junk mail and packages for about a month now. I also signed up for Informed Delivery. I will get a email with a image of my mail letting me know it was going to arrive today or soon. My voters card was imaged in my email (about 3 days ago I should have received by now) but post office sent it back the first time as of today I didn't get. I didn't get my bank statement either it wasn't imaged to me and it was returned. The bank said they resent it. I don't know why my mail was sent back. My address change was confirmed. I did get 3 letters that were not mine imaged in my email. I got one. How can I get that letter but not mine? I hope they can clear this up soon. I couldn't post this unless I gave a star I spoke to my mailman Tim later that day. I received my voters registration card yesterday (7-1-24). Thanks Tim !
