I came in to return a package that was already boxed, packed properly, and sealed — exactly how the return instructions say to do it. The associate scanned my package and gave me a receipt. Then the manager Karen, came out and said I was required to purchase another box for my already boxed item because of “store policy” and that she could get in trouble after a recent inspection. That makes no sense. The instructions clearly state that items can be returned in their original box as long as they are packed and sealed — which mine was. I already spent a lot of money on this item, it arrived broken, and now I’m being told I have to spend more just to return it. To make things worse, I went to another UPS Store and they processed the same return with no problem at all and were extremely kind. Then I found out this original store never voided the first transaction, so I had to call them five times just to get it corrected. Completely unnecessary stress, misinformation, and poor customer service — especially from a manager.
