    I went in to pick up my lamination order. The customer service rep behind the counter NEVER greeted me. However, she told me 5 different times that she would be tight with me. She completed several tasks and then asked me how she could help me. I informed her that I was there to pick up my order, gave her my name, and then she instructed me to go to the register. At the register, she passed me my order. I counted to ensure that I had my complete order as she retrieved the order on the POS. She was surprised that the order was paid for and then stated that I needed to sign off for the pick up. I informed her that she would wait patiently until I completed my count, afford me the same patience and courtesy that I yielded as I waited for her. She responded nastily with “Is every thing alright?” I was still counting. She was rude, inconsiderate, and lacked basic customer service decorum!

    Stood in line 15 mins to send a 6 pg fax. No one acknowledged me, so I went to the front register to ask for help. Cashier radioed a helper in the back who would not come help me. Three workers in the store and none willing to stop breaking down boxes to help?

    Placed an Order on 12/7 it is now 12/16 Still no Order. My payment processed on 12/9. Called today at 12:45P on 12/16. Kept getting transferred and no answer. On hold for almost over 15Min. Still no answer. Horrible experience.

    This was one of the most insensitive and unprofessional customer service experiences I’ve ever had. I contacted this Staples regarding obituary printing for a family who recently lost a loved one around Thanksgiving, during the holiday season. The family requested physical paper proofs before paying for a full order, which is completely reasonable especially since many of them are elderly and cannot properly assess digital proofs. When I called to follow up on a quote that was already discussed earlier with another employee, I was met with extreme rudeness, impatience, and a complete lack of empathy from an associate named Ashley. She spoke over me, dismissed the situation, and showed zero compassion for the circumstances. Her tone alone was shocking. After being placed on hold, another associate (David) came to the phone. While he attempted to sound empathetic, no action followed. My family member arrived over 2 hours later, and the quote and proof were still not ready. The only resolution offered was a small discount after making her wait unnecessarily. This is her sister’s obituary so it’s already tough times. This was not just poor service this was disrespect during a time of grief. You would think a business that offers so many custom and sentimental products would understand the importance of compassion when handling obituary work. I am beyond disappointed and will be escalating this directly to corporate. Families deserve better than this during moments like these.
