Was in on 10/15/25, there was a constant flow of people and both of the women working helped each person individually with professionalism and kindness regardless to the constant flow. I was there for passport, and again, I was handled and treated with kindness professionalism and quickly, beginning to end of my appointment.

Bad experience here today. I brought in a package with pre-paid postage for drop-off at the Mokena Post Office (12/29 3:30pm) and asked if I could get a receipt. The nicely made-up middle-age very blond Clerk#1 behind the counter said in a not very nice way, "You don't get a receipt because you didn't pay for anything." When I asked, "Well then can you please scan my package?" she said yes, and then dropped my package onto the seat of her chair (without scanning it) and disappeared into the back of the post office. Aware that the tracking would not be activated until it was scanned, I stood there for a few moments waiting for her to come back and scan my package. When she didn't return, I asked Clerk#2 at the other counter if she would scan my package in. She said of course, and as she reached to do it, Clerk#1 came rushing out of the back, grabbed the package from her, and said to her, "You don't have to scan it!" Clerk#2 reached out and scanned the barcode anyway, just a split second before Clerk#1 sent it sailing a good 6 feet through the air into a bin at the back. I was a bit upset by the whole exchange, and regretfully left there without getting Clerk#1's name, but absolutely questioning whether she was acting in good faith in the handling of my package. Where is the sense in leaving a customer's package sitting on your chair, then trying to prevent a colleague from scanning it to activate the tracking, and finally throwing it halfway across the room into a bin without regard for its contents? ALL IN FRONT OF THE CUSTOMER. This does not inspire confidence that one's package will reach its destination intact, or even at all. I have used this post office before and have for the most part been treated kindly and professionally (especially by the people of color, hope this is the PC way to say it). However, I will be going elsewhere from now on, just to avoid encountering Clerk#1. There is a very good UPS location near Lowes/Target, as well as other post offices in the area that are more professional, treat your packages with care, and scan them automatically when you drop them off.
