Today, February 26, 2026 at 4pm I went to the 7100 W.Gunnispn, Harwood Heights, Illinois post office. I had two packages. The employee, a VERY RUDE employee, asked me to step aside and place my packages on tge scale away from the counter. I asked if this was something new because I've never had to place my packages on the scale, she said RUDELY, DO YOU WANT ME TO SRND YOUR PACKAGES??? I said yes, but I never had to do this before. She asked again, DO YOU WANT ME TO SRND YOUR PACKAGES, I SAID YES, SO I PUT one of my packages on the scale, I asked for her name, she said wait, and went away for a few minutes, she came back and said SHE WOULDN'T TAKE MY PACKAGES AND TO LEAVE!!! I told her I would file a complaint, took a picture and left. I HAVE BEVER HAD A PLEASANT EXPERIENCE WITH THIS POST OFFICE, THE EMPLOYRES ARE SUPER RUDE, today was the last straw, I filed a complaint. LRyan

1 star – Terrible and rude service
Walked in at 5:07 PM (they close at 5:30 PM on weekdays), no queue at all, just needed to send a letter. Instead of helping, a staff member literally shoved me out and locked the door way too early. Had to go to another post office and lost a full hour driving because of this. Extremely impolite and unprofessional behavior. This location clearly doesn’t care about customers. Avoid if you can.

~ the post office from hell ~ if I could give it 0 stars I would... I only go here because it’s the closest location, but every visit feels like I’m entering a customer service escape room where the prize is mild emotional damage. The older woman at the counter has perfected the art of the sigh, the eye roll, and the most condescending tone I think I've ever heard. If the job is truly that unbearable, maybe it’s time to let someone else take a shift..
*OLDER LADY WITH GLASSES—very rude, bitter human. Shocking USPS allows an employee like this to treat customers so poorly. You are met with a nasty attitude immediately when you walk in for no reason from this lady.*
To start, I went to the post office at 4:40 p.m., and they close at 5:30 p.m. I ended up standing in line until 5:40 for no reason.
There was only one RUDE employee working (OLDER LADY WITH GLASSES). While I was waiting, I overheard her speaking very aggressively to the man she was helping. She said, “You have the nerve telling me what to do! Do you know who you’re talking to? I don’t have to serve you. I can refuse service.” The man was quiet and not threatening at all, so the interaction felt completely unnecessary and unprofessional..
A little later, she started closing the gate that leads to the kiosk area. She called out asking if anyone needed to use it — which we did — so we began walking toward her as she was closing it so we could hear her better while she was actively talking to us. She abruptly shouted, “Don’t come near me yet! Do not approach me!” It was very unexpected and felt extremely rude.
After she finished with the gate, we used the kiosk and left. Overall, the employee’s behavior came across as hostile and unprofessional. It made what should have been a simple errand a very uncomfortable experience. She was on a major power trip..like sit down and take many seats lady. You literally work at a post office. Lol. Miserable human.
Legit the worst post office location I ever was at, not only did Ms Williams called my mother a profane word she declined to do our passport application all because we spoke a language other than English. I would give a 1 star if I could but please avoid this location at all costs, it doesn't matter the circumstances until they throw out the people working there it won't get better.
