If I need to hop in my car and take a package for sending, I would choose the amazing service at The Shipping Point in Gurnee over wishing the USPS showed up as scheduled.

We stood in line for 45 minutes just to ask one question! Martin, has done this multiple times and we are fed up! He put an reminder that we had to pay our bill in our p.o box even though we paid it on April the 10th! He didn't even check who had paid or not which caused me and my wife to be very stressed and frustrated! He has done this often isn't it protocol to check to see who has paid or not before giving them an reminder notice! This caused my wife to have to check to make sure that the receipt was in the system which made us very angry! When he gave us the so called receipt it wasn't even an receipt of any sort! It was an piece of paper with writing on it!

- KSKatie S.May 17, 20205.0I've lived in Gurnee nearly 16 years, and have used this post office for most shipping needs, as it's usually the cheapest. I like to take my time so I usually use the self-service kiosk, but have also used counter service. I have never had a problem!! I see all these 1-star reviews without many details explaining what would lead to 1-star and also wondered how we have such different experiences at the same place?! (Unrealistic expectations?) Or, I suppose if you go several times a week and only use counter service, then perhaps you just have a higher likelyhood of having a bad experience, or multiple 🤷♀️. I also set the bar pretty low on humanity in general, so I'm rarely disappointed, voice it when I am, which usually works out generously in my favor. Karma, maybe? Send out good energy and other good is attracted to it. The opposite also exists. On the occasions I've used counter service, I've experienced rude customers, one or two cranky employees (we're all human and have bad days!), but I couldn't tell you much more past that. I choose to not focus on those less-then-perfect experiences and instead on ALL the other times I was smoothly in and out without incident. Those times are easier to forget, yet the majority of our experiences, but when we go searching for negative, you will find it.
