Usually I come here after a less than satisfying trip to the Westmont Post Office and this location is a breath of fresh air. The employees are helpful and kind. Even when there is a long line behind me, they still don't rush or make it feel like I'm inconveniencing them.

This place is a joke! In the past 2 days i called 7 times and nobody answers. I finally drove down there and they didn’t have what I needed. Lady said they would have it the next day. Called again a couple times nobody answers. Drove down there they still don’t have it. She said they will have it later. I’ll call later, twice, and nobody answers. This is why government should not run the stuff. They’re useless!

Stamps, letters, packages, delivery, even passports and passport photos, they do it all here! Various stamp choices, envelope and package sizes, and they even have gift cards! Then there is a drive through inbetween them and the fire department were you can deposit letters without even getting out of your car! One rarely needs to go to another post office.

Two huge issues - when we edited the forwarding address with them, it was 'not recorded' and the incorrect labels kept printing each week which resulted in mail being delivered to an inaccessible mailbox. The mail carrier had to retrieve it each week and then leave it at the post office near where we were staying under 'general delivery' and we could get it up to 10 days late. IF the Clarendon Hills post office had corrected the forwarding address, this would have been avoided. Second, we had an arrangement to have a friend retrieve our mail as we were out of town for 2 months. We were not in one place long enough to have mail forwarded. I was told to fill out two 'hold mail' forms - one for each month of our trip and made a copy of our friends' driver license and attached it to the forms. This worked well for the first 6 weeks and then I got a call that this was not allowed and I needed to write a letter of authorization and have her print it out and bring it with her. Why it was ok for 6 weeks is unclear. I was told that the hold form and attached driver's license copy were left with the mail carrier and he/she may have lost it. This is very concerning as our friend's ID may now be in the wrong hands.
