Helping out my daughter in Chicago for a few days. Decided to make good use of time and write out and send my Christmas cards. Yesterday I drove to the post office on Ashland to purchase the stamps and mail them. When I arrived there was a white sheet of paper attached to the glass door with a hand written message: “No stamps”. So I walked over to the stamp vending machine in the lobby but it also displayed a message that there were no stamps available! Honestly the Holiday seasons come annually! They should have been better prepared! People still like to mail letters and cards. How short sighted to not have enough stamps of ANY kind! I did not take a photo of the note as the line was really long filled with people holding boxes to be mailed and I was worried about getting someone’s face in the photo! Failed mission of the USPS which I do really highly admire! We need this service as evidence by the really long line of patient and respectful people! The USPS advertises its history of service and commitment to go the extra mile to make sure they deliver our mail. The Postal service failed yesterday and needs to make sure every location has enough stamps!

I never review but I have to say staff was not helpful and unfriendly. Customer service was less than ideal. Will try the other USPS locations going forward.

The staff are very helpful but this place is grossly understaffed. I went twice in one week and the most I've seen is two people working for 10+ customers and passport appointments. They need to hire more people asap.
