Booked a passport appointment here - waited 30 mins, to be told they didn’t have anyone who could do passports that day. They said they were going to call though the appointments to cancel them - but as of more than a half hour after the appointment time, I had never gotten notice. They then sent me to two different post offices to file passport paperwork, both of which are locations that do not do passport services at all, not just on that day. Bad bad bad.

The African American clerk refused our walk in passport application. Said we need photocopies of ID but online said no. Went to another post office, the clerk there just scanned them in house. Absolutely racist and horrible

If you don't believe reviews, believe this one. The older lady with Grey hair is very unprofessional, very rude and doesn't deserve to serve the public. The worse usps I have ever been to. She gives an attitude for no reason ,always frowning, always angry. Other people seems okay but you see the older lady, avoid her if possible or she is going to ruin your day.

If you come 20 min. or less before the designated closing time (like 5:40PM on a Friday) you risk the Post Office being closed anyways. While this is obviously a pain — and this location sucks — I imagine it's even worse to work here, and try to have some sympathy for those that do. If you (like me) are one of the many folks who are disappointed by their USPS service on Chicago's South Side, I recommend we all continue to support the public funding of services like this. They're probably incredibly overworked, understaffed, and underpaid.
