- SMShania MétraillerDec 4, 20251.0We exhibited at RSNA and tried to ship six boxes (186 lb) through FedEx to another conference. The FedEx team confirmed they could handle it and provided a weight-based price list. However, when we returned, the actual cost was unexpectedly around 2.5k, so we decided not to proceed. I repeatedly asked to borrow a cart due to the weight. They refused every time, citing “policy,” even when I offered to leave my ID or pay a fee. They also incorrectly told me to hire Freeman, who confirmed they only move items within the halls, not from the FedEx office. The staff told me, without any consideration, that my only option was to carry everything alone across a 20-minute walk. Thankfully, an RSNA organizer eventually helped. The best part is coming :) Even then, it took two trips to bring everything back to our booth. On the second trip, I saw another exhibitor leaving the FedEx office with a FedEx cart. He told me the staff had allowed him to borrow it, despite refusing me earlier. The inconsistency and lack of support caused entirely unnecessary effort and frustration.
