I have tried sending outgoing mail at my residence many times now in our outgoing mail box where I live. When someone first brought it to my attention they never received a payment I looked into that mail box and it was completely full to the brim. So I then put a note on the box asking them to check it. The following day I looked and they did just that. Well I just recently went to send out another payment to somewhere important and they haven’t checked that outgoing mail. You need better mail carriers. I know the two that deliver our mail and I’ll be going to the office and talking to their HR. Horrible business and service.

The USPS in Lewiston used to be a premier service with workers that were high caliber, professional and possessed integrity throughout the operation. Sadly they have been infiltrated by the lazy "not my problem" crowd and in many instances, not just at failing to do a good job but actually going out of the way to sabotage the entire process. There's a reason that they will be largely replaced by Amazon in 2026. I doubt that Amazon will have better people as they will be pulling from the same pool. What's different is a bit more accountability. Private corporations won't stand for individuals damaging their brand. Huge turnover, horrible morale. It's like rats living in filth with no prospect of a clear vision to improve. Thanks to the last Postmaster General for a lot of this. His goal was to make the place so dysfunctional that they would self destruct. Mission Accomplished! Unfortunately the USPS will learn this about 10 years too late. Bring on Amazon, privatize them and let the chips fall where they may. I feel badly for the fantastic employees that are still there. They just aren't able to save the ship in such shrinking numbers.

Over the last few months I've been ordering things to my apartment through Amazon but delivered by USPS, specifically this USPS. Normally when an item is too big for my mailbox, they deliver to my front door (like a cat water fountain I bought a few weeks ago, a stainless steel litter box I bought a month ago etc). However, today didn't go as expected. I was waiting on a cat tower (even in a deconstructed state, it's obviously gonna be a package too big for my mailbox) yet got a notification it was "undeliverable due to mailbox being full or too small". Huh? Who is their right mind would have thought it would fit in my mailbox? Why wasn't it delivered to my front door as usual when an item is too big? Why even put it on the truck if you aren't going to deliver it because sight alone can tell you it's not gonna fit in a mailbox. Smh so now I have to make a special trip to the post office tomorrow to pick it up when they were literally 20 feet from my front door and too lazy to deliver it. Also tried calling but it's impossible to speak to a human being so that's why I'm just gonna go get it myself. I really hope I can somehow never use USPS again as a delivery service. This is absurd.
