I’m done dropping packages off at the Hayden Post Office. I ship a high volume of items, and almost every time I use this location the packages do not get an acceptance scan and then disappear from tracking for 3 to 4 days before they finally show up at the Spokane terminal. No other post office in the area has this issue. This makes it look to my buyers like I never shipped their orders. Even when an initial scan is missed at other locations, the packages still reach Spokane within a day. With Hayden, it can take longer just to leave that facility than the rest of the shipping process combined. This has happened with three batches in a row. I currently have multiple buyers upset because their labels were created four days ago and there are still no tracking updates. For comparison, the items I dropped at the Coeur d’Alene location yesterday were already scanned from the drop box and are in Spokane, while the items I dropped at Hayden last Friday (six days ago) still show no movement. I cannot keep using this location if packages consistently sit unscanned for days.

If you’re looking for a post office that can reliably perform the single task it exists to do, this is not it. I live in an apartment complex, and apparently reading an address and matching it to a mailbox is an advanced, unsolvable puzzle for this staff. On a regular basis, I receive my neighbors’ mail — prescriptions, tax returns, medical bills — you know, minor, unimportant things like that. Confidential documents just casually tossed into the wrong box like it’s a fun little guessing game. We’re constantly told that tampering with mail is a serious crime, yet this office misdelivers sensitive mail daily with zero consequences. Fascinating how that works. If I were this consistently bad at my job, I wouldn’t have one. The job requirements appear to be: Look at address Look at mailbox Match the two Somehow, this is beyond the capabilities of this entire operation. I’ve filed complaints with the regional office. I’ve called. I’ve emailed. I’ve done everything short of drawing a map in crayon — and nothing changes. The same mistakes happen every single day, which tells me this isn’t an accident; it’s just negligence. At this point, I’m documenting everything because accountability clearly doesn’t exist here. If you value your privacy, your health, or your legal documents, avoid this post office unless you enjoy playing “Which Neighbor’s Mail Did I Get Today?” An embarrassment to the USPS and a shining example of how low the bar can be set — and still not met.

I am so tired of the inconsistency of my orders being processed at this post office. I live in rathdrum and the post office is just as bad which I why I go out of way to go to Hayden's post office. Jokes on me. My dad is a supervisor for USPS in Arizona so, I've learned that when people drop of paid packages to ship, they should be scanned in that day. I have dropped off many shipments with an average of 10 orders each day.. several of them do not get processed in until 2 days later. There is no help for that. And honestly, I am stuck either way .. I don't have many options other than to use these post offices unless I want to cross stateline.

The worker Alma Or Olma was incredibly helpful when i had a package be marked as delivered but not delivered. She found the package and was sure it was delivered to the correct address! 10/10

Employees can be so rude! I always use the self-serve kiosk to ship my packages. Sometimes, my packages don’t fit in the self-drop slot, so I leave them on the counter as I’ve seen others do. Today, when I did that, the employee at the counter made a snarky comment: “Did it not fit in the drop-off?” I replied that the box might get stuck, but I’d be happy to shove it in there and try. Why are employees so rude? It honestly takes more energy to be unpleasant than polite. Terrible customer service experience.
