Instead of in my mailbox, they left my utility bill on the ground outside in the yard. It easily could have blown away and, had it, my utilities could easily have been shut off on myself and my children all because of their flippant treatment of the mail. They also left me one of those “sorry we missed you” papers for a signed package, which would be all well and good if they hadn’t stacked it in my box directly above the already signed one. These incidents were both less than a week apart and nowhere near the only issue, but they’ve become more frequent as of late. Older issues included forwarding my mail to my ex when he moved out and filed a change of address form, even though only mail for [person x] should have been forwarded but ALL our mail was forwarded and multiple times they put “vacant” signs in my mailbox even though I was calling them nearly daily to correct them that my house wasn’t vacant and that I still needed my mail at my location.

Said I had a package delivered. It was not. Mail never even showed up today in rural area. Had letters to be picked up but no one showed up. Now I'm out 45 dollars. For my items delivered to Harlan.

I won't say that every employee is rude at the post office, but there is definitely a few who need to learn customer service, after going through a tragic experience I would like to think that changing my address temporarily wouldn't be so difficult. Someone literally handed me a packet of papers and then just sent me on my way....she did not explain to me what was in it or that I could have filled out the paper and given it right back to her. Customer service goes a LONG way people! Get it together. If you hate your job that much, maybe you should find a different profession.
