Long lines, and most staff have no sense of urgency whatsoever. Lines out of the foyer into the parking lot sometimes. Often there is only one team member working and the lines are unbelievably long. And then they have time to ask an old lady which book of stamps she would like and let her mull over half a dozen different stamp collections, while the rest of us are on the clock and need to get back to work. Some staff members have been outright rude and acted like our mere presence offended them. I only go there when I absolutely cannot avoid it.

I’ve never actually thought “I wish I could leave a 0 star review” until I started dealing with this post office. I actually live in North Liberty but have the misfortune of having a lot of things routed through the Coralville post office via the Des Moines distribution center, both places are evidently where mail goes to die. No one answers the phone. The general USPS customer service “customer service” line is useless and never offers any resolution. I’ve lived in multiple states and have used probably a dozen different post offices in my life and this one is by far and away the worst and truly makes me rethink any of the times I have been outspoken about not defunding or otherwise shutting down the post office. I’m genuinely not sure what goes on in this place but I know if I behaved or failed to perform my job duties in the way that those in this post office do, I’d be long fired.
