- MMMarlene MassOct 13, 20251.0I ordered a replacement medical device that was to be delivered by the Carlisle Iowa post office on Saturday October 11, 2025. I received an email Saturday morning at 7:27AM that the package is out for delivery and will be delivered by 4:30PM. The delivery time comes and goes and by 6:00PM still no package. At 7:33PM I received another email stating the package is back at the Carlisle Iowa post office and ready for pick up. I’m not asking the postal employees to perform brain surgery, just to do the job they are being paid to do. FYI, the postal service IS NOT part of the government shut down. After living in a city of over 200,000 people for 26 years with no problem of mail delivery, I come to a community of less than 4500 people and in less than 2 years I have had numerous issues with getting packages. Today is Monday October 13th and a Federal holiday, no mail delivery. I paid to have this package delivered, since the post office will be overwhelmed on Tuesday due to the holiday I probably won’t get it then. This is unacceptable.
