- JBJulie BarraqueDec 16, 20251.0Huge rant against the Wailuku PO! Mailed 28 Christmas cards. Had to add less than 1$ to the ones that had larger, thicker ornaments. Ok,fine. Mailed another 26 small cards with small, flat ornaments. 18 arrived to their destinations no problem, NY, CA, NV, TN, WA. 8 identical cards sent back to me for additional postage. Sent my son to the PO and they charged him over $8 each for package/parcel rate!!! For a regular sized card with the small flat ornament! Identical to the 18 that had already made it to their destinations!!! I'm so mad I am livid!!! I dont dare go up there until I've calmed down! I'm on oxygen so this is a huge inconvenience for me grrrrr

- MTMaui World TravelersAug 23, 20254.0We held a box here for years at Maui's most expensive facility, but moved to Kahului due to my natural budget-minded conscience, but mainly because the Kahului location is just more convenient for us. The Wailuku facility is the newest on the rock, though its hard to believe when looking at it due to the lack of upkeep and maintenance on the building and landscaping. Their old digs was at the corner of High and Wells streets and was leveled a few years ago, where a parking lot currently sits. There are several pros here, including lots of parking compared to other facilities, a convenient drive-thru mail drop off lane, lots of lockers for over-sized parcels, 24/7 access to an automated shipping machine, and a stamp vending machine. The only con for me, like any business in Wailuku, is the lack of quick, convenient access due to Wailuku's ancient road designs. You either have to drive in an out of the way direction, or through narrow residential streets. Not a big deal, but I'm all about convenience. Service has been consistently good and is fairly quick. They usually run with at least 3 windows open. OVERALL: My go-to spot if I ever have to do "indoor business."
- KLKendall LarsenDec 18, 20225.0The Wailuku Post Office is the one to go to if you want to ship faster than anywhere! They have more than just one pick up time for your packages/letters. For example, if I take my mail to the post office by 10:30am, it's already a day sooner to anyone on the mainland. Also, if you have local mail for this island, it's not going to have to make a trip all the way to Oahu first. Remember, only Wailuku Post Office though. It's the Main Post Office for Maui.
