  Friendly staff for the post office. There were only a limited amount of stamps left (regular vs postcard) so might have to be mindful of stock Helpful gentleman at the counter - thanks for postmarking all my postcards

  This is the only post office in our neighborhood. In our rural town, mail is not delivered to our physical addresses. We had to wait several months for a PO Box to come available and it is “free” as long as you provide proof that you live in this area. There are not many jobs in our area, so most people travel 20, 40, even 60+ minutes for work every day. This post office is open M-F: 7:30am-3:30pm, and Sat: 9-10am. These hours do not cater to the working class. And it is clear on Saturdays, when the line is out the door for the ONE hour they are open. Also, you have to periodically show continued proof of living in the vicinity within specified time frames or they will lock your box and you will not have access to your mail. My husband and I were each given a key to our box when we signed up. When I went to show proof of living here (because my husband was out of town), they told me it would have to come from my husband because he completed their paperwork (which also included my name on it). We were BOTH given keys. Haha So why can’t I provide the document requested? My name is also on our homeowners forms! But they wouldn’t take that from me as validation! Also, most documents are electronic these days and they don’t take electronic proof?!!!!!! They only take hard copy proof. It was just a huge, riga-marole, and waste of time, to get OUR addresses mail. HUGE inconvenience and we were made to feel not apart of this neighborhood.....like we were villains or something. When my husband went in to sort things out, they were nice, but very difficult. And why give us both keys if you won’t “accept” documentation from us both? Why is everything so difficult these days? Unfortunately, this is the only location to provide us a free PO Box since we live here. It’s the only one within 20 minutes too. So unfortunate.

  The hours listed are incorrect. They close at 1pm. You can enter the lobby and open P.O. Boxes at any time.
