Hardest working, friendly staff. Four stars because parking is difficult to find.

The best, nicest employees. All the post offices are overwhelmed. They handle it as well as I can imagine. I wish them all the best. Thank you for what you do! Yes, it's busy and takes awhile. The parking, the p.o. box wait, it's all federal. Maybe in 20 years we will get a bigger post office lol

The post office in Mountain View is bursting at the seams! It can't accommodate the influx of new residents. New residents will have to wait at least 2 years for a Post Office Box, which is the only way to receive mail in the area. This is because most of the Big Island of Hawai'i is rural and lacks home carrier services. The line for postal services are horrendous and a daily challenge.
The parking situation near the Post Office is hazardous: the lot is too small, causing customers to park across Hwy 11, adjacent to the Catholic Church, and navigate a crosswalk lacking warning lights, resulting in near-miss incidents.
The staff deserves recognition for their hard work in outdated and cramped facilities, going above and beyond to provide General Delivery services to customers on the PO Box waitlist who can sometimes be short-tempered.
