I have nothing but appreciation and gratitude to show towards the United States Postal Service Maunaloa Hi 96770 and all the staffing they have had their throughout my 30 year experience. They are conveniently located pretty much in walking distance from all the homes in the town and are right across the extremely low trafficed road from the only grocery store in town. Many of the homes when even looked up on Google Maps and other top location sites show less than half and in a very scattered slightly confusing layout of the residential numbers assigned to the homes. Meaning getting mail delivered to your physical address in this town especially when ordering online is often impossible as the system simply does not recognize the address as legitimate. Reading the two negative reviews, which both have some sort of Christmas type decorative profile picture btw, compelled me to write my very first Google type review. I had to come and correct and in a way defend this essential service and its employees. There may be a wait, like there is at any other place of servicing businesses, but considering there is only one person doing all the tasks on their own with the extremely limited space provided to them, I see no problem there. Just a suggestion to plan your time realistically. Also since name dropping seems to be okay with them as they have dropped names, I would like to say about Nicole Taylor's and 270ruger's (again, possibly the same person on speculation) with all due respect, this is a small post office in a tiny town of less than 300 people according to (datausa.io) so the fact that Nicole Taylor's neighbor is also the guy who helps out at the post office is less surprising as is expected. Also, this is Molokai, the island known for true Aloha which she experienced when her neighbors helped her get all of her mail, no mention of anything missing and actually an incredibly valuable item delivered safe and sound for the "months" that she was gone as she neglected her responsibility to arrange for alternative delivery options graciously provided to all box holders. The post office is not required to hold on to anyones' mail without first proper notice and second not for longer than 30 days with a wait period of 3 days in between for Hold requests (according to the FAQ section of USPS.com). So she did not hold up her end of the service agreement she signed up for when she applied for her post office box and still got her mail. I believe a big Mahalo is owed Aunty Terri. Anyone completely unsatisfied with the postal service in Maunaloa is free to apply and drive down and wait at another facility which will cut down on wait times for everyone else still in Maunaloa.

Terry gave my mail( which including my deceased father’s ring that was mailed to me)to my neighbors Jovy and Mike while I was gone for months, without my consent. I was told my mail was given away because the neighbors asked for it and on top of that they were her friends. The postal manger at the time did nothing because the same ppl my mail was given to are the same ppl who they ask to change the locks on the mailboxes( MIKE) for community service. The post office is ran down. And when you walk up to the front Terry takes her time to service you. Terrible untrustworthy place to receive your mail.

We love this post office! Anyone who complains about Ms. Terri has no clue how hard it is to run that place with one person. Ignore bad comments. Mahalo Terri for all the years!
