  Apparently using the “wrong tape” at this USPS location is a grave offense worthy of condescension and attitude. Instead of simply explaining the issue like a normal professional, the staff member chose to speak down to me with a tone that suggested she was volunteering out of the goodness of her heart rather than doing the job she is paid to do. The interaction felt less like customer service and more like I should be grateful for her presence. For clarity: this was not a complex or serious issue. It was tape. A polite explanation would have taken seconds. What took longer was enduring unnecessary sarcasm, impatience, and the clear impression that customers are an inconvenience. Public-facing roles require basic courtesy. If explaining minor postage requirements is too much without making people feel small, perhaps customer service isn’t the right fit. USPS should remember that customers are not asking for charity — they are paying for a service.

  I was here today to mail some used clothes and a gym bag to my daughter in the Mainland. And because it was bunch of clothes, it was heavy. I knew it wasn’t going to be cheap. So I asked a lady at the counter (Samantha) not expecting any helpful advice. “Ma’am, what will be the best (cheapest)way to send this box to the mainland?” She said “let me weigh it first and then let’s figure it out!” She then weighted my box and said “this thing is heavy, the best(Cheapest) way for you to Mail this, will be in a large flat rate box!” And then she Pointed out where I could find that box. When I tried to put my pre-packed bag into the large flat rate box, the box would not close. I was so disappointed and worried that now it’s gonna cost me a fortune to send this with the regular rates. That’s when she came to rescue me and said “ oh no, The box has to be completely closed and Show no gaps Between the wings… Here, let me help you!” She then took the box and pressed, closed tightly and taped it so well it was almost like an air proof!! And then with a big smile on her face she said “now you can send it with a flat rate!” As if she just saved her own money or something… Samatha, thank you so much for your kindness and compassion. Dear director/manager of this post office, Please give Samantha a raise or promotion! she well deserves it! Mahalo~~

  Reed was a spotlight for his outstanding customer service, which lift this branch up for being short of staff in the busiest centre, small and dark store. What the tourist will think of US Postal in general as this is the tourist hottest shopping centre. The government fund cut is a shame for policy and the reflection of its ugliness. Common! I hope the new government will help the US Postal shine as it deserves.
